Job Description
Lab Design is seeking a highly motivated CAD Drafter to join our team. Lab Design manufacturers metal casework while supplying countertops and other furnishings to laboratories across the country. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, able to read architectural blueprints and have 2 years or more of Autocad experience. They will also be an integral part of the Sales Engineering Department which includes Estimating, preparation of the bid proposals and basic customer service functions. Above average salary and benefit package compensatory with experience. Solid Works experience a plus.
Qualifications:
· Technical Diploma or Associates Degree
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
· 2 years architectural Autocad and/or Revit experience preferred
· Construction experience a plus
Skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite
· Proficient in Autocad 2021; Revit experience is a plus
· Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
· Knowledge of basic and best cost estimation practices
Responsibilities:
· Prepare thorough shop drawings - floor plans and elevations - for client approval and fabrication
· Work closely with vendors and team members to ensure proper product fabrication
· Ensure project scope matches estimated cost of the project
· Prepare bid proposals and quotations to clients and dealer base
· Initiate procurement process to purchasing manager for outsourced material
