About the Job We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class B CDL driver with air brake endorsement to join our team. This role involves driving a roll-off dumpster truck with interchangeable J-Hook system beds to various job sites to assist with hauling landscape materials and equipment to jobsites. The ideal candidate will have experience driving trucks, be safety-focused, and enjoy working with a friendly, close-knit team. Ability to load materials into trucks with a loader is required as well as mobilizing, loading, and unloading skidsteers and mini-excavators. This job is not hauling retail materials, rather hauling materials and equipment primarily to and from shop to crew jobsites.
Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate a J-hook roll-off dumpster truck with air brakes to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the truck is properly maintained and report any mechanical issues to management.
- Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Assist with other general duties related to bulk materials, debris management, truck and equipment upkeep, and miscellaneous shop and yard management needs.
- Provide excellent communication between field crews and management to logistically improve project efficiency and profitability.
- Represent our company professionally and ethically maintaining our stellar reputation for exceeding expectations as a regional leader in landscaping.
Qualifications: - Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
- At least 3 years of experience driving a roll-off truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Ability to drive safely and efficiently in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
- Compact equipment operation and mechanical inclination are advantageous.
