Junior Engineer – Design & QA -St. Petersburg, FL

As a Junior Engineer – Design & QA, you’ll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to design new features, drive testing and quality assurance, and provide first-line technical support. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Jr. Engineer, QA Engineer, or Technical Product/Design role
• Strong knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and ES6+ JavaScript
• Familiarity with RESTful API development, ideally using .NET Core 6+ and Entity Framework
• Basic SQL skills and ability to perform schema updates in Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Figma and Azure; Tableau experience is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Previous experience at a startup or small company is preferred

Description:

• Design features in Figma and convert concepts into user stories for engineering execution
• Develop and run manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality releases
• Monitor, report, and assist in resolving bugs across internal and external platforms
• Serve as the first-line support for internal users, addressing technical issues and escalating when needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle
• Maintain a data dictionary and simplified database map to support business reporting
• Support feature delivery for a growing internal platform (Beacon)
• Stay current with tools and trends in QA, UX/UI, and engineering best practices
